A2 Investment Partners is a private holding company focused on identifying and building scalable platforms in underserved corners of the services and specialty insurance markets. A2 was founded by Adam Behringer and Ari Gerstein — two entrepreneurs with complementary backgrounds in investing and finance. Our model is simple: find industries the market forgot to disrupt, and build what should have existed all along using technology, capital, and operator expertise.

Most markets that institutional capital targets are already well-served. The ones that interest A2 have the opposite problem: they are large, essential, and fragmented — and they have been structurally overlooked because capturing them requires more than capital. It requires industry relationships, domain credibility, and willingness to build from scratch.

A2 was founded by operators who have invested directly in these industries and who understand them from the inside. We enter markets before they are crowded, build the businesses that should exist there, and structure our economics so that our partners' success and our own are the same outcome.

Where we build — and why it matters

A2 Investment Partners targets large, underserved markets in the services sector where information asymmetry, fragmented incumbents, and a structural absence of institutional capital create durable, first-mover opportunity.

Specialty Insurance & Risk Products

We identify insurance products that the market has not yet built and launch them as specialty platforms. These are categories where misaligned incentives and a lack of admitted carrier participation have left large premium pools uncaptured — and where a disciplined underwriting thesis creates durable advantage.

Service-Based Industries

The home and B2B services economy is being rapidly institutionalized. Our founding team brings direct investing and operating experience across roofing, HVAC, chimney services, fiber internet, home technology integration, and more — providing proprietary access and the ability to move alongside the operators reshaping these industries.
